چکیده

Biodiesel in the past, was once considered a fringe fuel. However today, production and consumption of this fuel has grown as sustainable much more eco-friendly alternative to Conventional diesel (Petroleum diesel), for engines; if not pure form, it will be blends different ratios, or additive, improve engine performance ensure longevity. In research, oil from Mango (Mangifera indica) seed extracted through Soxhlet solvent process, converted into biodiesel by method Transesterification. This process involved reaction between methanol at an optimal temperature 60°C, 1%w/v catalyst (KOH) concentration yield biodiesel. The produced analyzed evaluated comparing its physical characteristics that (petroleum) properties were; Density, Heating value, flash point, specific gravity, viscosity, cloud water content pour point. mango (MSO) compared excellently well with values obtained commercially available petroleum diesel, dispensed government approved filling stations Nigeria. so characterized, subsequently subjected test, four-stroke internal compression (IC), (diesel) loaded 120 – 200 rpm, determine suitability result terms brake power output, mass flow rate, thermal efficiency, (SFC) on. results very most data generated on conventional satisfied ASTM-D6751 EN14214 standard requirements working fluid IC engine, especially regard SFC, which translates direct running cost every engine.

متن کاملThe Study of Biodiesel Characterization Obtained from CapparisSpinosa Oil Seed
Biodiesel is usually produced from food-grade vegetable oil using trans-esterification process. As an effective factor on the biodiesel characteristics of the biodiesel is the kind of feedstock which is used, so finding a proper feedstock for using initially has an important role for different places. So, in this research, disposal substances of Capparis Spinosa are used as a feedstock for prod...

متن کاملBiodiesel Production by Enzymatic Transesterification of Papaya Seed Oil and Rambutan Seed Oil
Biodiesel production from vegetable oil has gained attention as an alternative fuel to minimize the usage of fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gases pollution. In Malaysia, oils from local fruit seeds of papaya and rambutan are potential feedstock for biodiesel production due to their high lipid contents and easily available. In the present study, papaya and rambutan seed oils were extracted v...
